Someone’s got to take up the pen to defend print. We publish in print and e-book formats.

If hard-copy books aren’t going to be relegated to the shelves of collectors as they were before paperbacks came around in the 1930s, publishers have to embrace digital technology, not fear it’s the death knell for print.

E-books are rapidly eclipsing the sales of hard-copy books, with sales seeing a 159% increase in Q1 2011 alone. Hard-copy book sales declined 23% in the same period.

Tear Down this Wall Street

Thomas Veera's Tear Down this Wall Street is a wake up call. Veera shows us how it is that the 99% of us have become victims, Ponzies and shills to Capitalists .... and don't realize it.

This timely book takes a revealing look at many things we think we know about Capitalism―and how unaware of how mis-informed we really are. We willingly participate in a system that has brainwashed us into believing that it has been designed to benefit all of us. The exact opposite is true.

We are living in a society obsessed with money and greed, yet surprisingly, most of us know very little about the system enslaving us. Unlike other forms of slavery, we have power over our captors; but don't realize it. Without our participation, the world of Capitalism cannot go round.

Social evolution began when our unemployed army set siege to the Capitalist Capitol of the World, Wall Street. Tear Down this Wall Street concludes with an indictment of Capitalists for crimes against humanity, and postulates what an appropriate Capital Punishment for Capitalism would be. Veera's book explores the relatively recent origins of Capitalism and its history. He posits that the 1% at the top accumulate money the same way a small minority of us collect heaps of junk. We call those people hoarders, and they are believed to suffer from an extreme form of obsessive compulsive disorder.

Today we are witnessing the Capitalist system's eminent self-destruction. Future historians will look back on our short-lived Capitalist culture, scratch their heads and wonder, what the heck got into those people? It was clearly some kind of mass hysteria.

But when the pestilence of Capitalism finally breaks, it's going to be the 99% of us who are going to be left scratching our heads wondering, now what? Veera shows us what lessons we have already learned from history―but have forgotten. If we can re-educate ourselves, that knowledge will prove valuable over next few pivotal years in human history. We must all wake up soon if we're going to survive what might be a rough transition over the course of the next few generations.

Why, Mommy, Why?
Dissociative Identity Disorder

Why, Mommy, Why? is a compelling read for both the general public and professionals in the psychology field. Jody Thomas' autobiography is the story of a joyful recovery from severe childhood abuse. Jody explores the extreme defenses we are capable of developing to survive severe trauma and how, later, these same defenses begin to work against us. Jody explores complex issues regarding the damage that can be done to a child's self-perception and how the adult that child develops into navigates the outside world. Competent psychotherapy has helped many people heal from trauma. Jody's account offers unique insight into that therapeutic process from the patient's perspective. Her ability to articulate the methods used is rare. Rarer still is her unique understanding of what lay at the heart of the healing process and the restoration of the "Self." This is a heart-felt story of survival and success with many tears leading, finally, to joy. With illustrations by the author.

This book is about: Multiple Personality Disorder, M.P.D., childhood trauma, abuse, childhood abuse, cognitive therapy, survivors, surviving trauma, biography, memoir, personal memoir.

Evolution of Thought

What Tortorich accomplishes in this series of provocative essays is nothing less than literary alchemy.

These words can change the way we see the world. The Great Flood of Western Thought exposes an alternate reality that co-exists with our own. But this parallel universe is not merely a figment of some hypothetical quantum theory. It is our own world, yet one that seems utterly alien when viewed through a dramatically different lens.

For at least 8,000 years, our most fundamental ideologies have camouflaged this world. Assumptions made over millennia, their origins obscured by the mists of time and no longer questioned, inform our world view. Identifying and questioning the foundation of that world view radically changes our world-to-view, and an alternate reality emerges

Readers will embark on a remarkable vision quest through a shadow world cloaked in the very fabric of what we think we know to be the only true reality.

Blending philosophy, alternative history and ancient beliefs, this unique work treads the line between truth and myth in a fashion reminiscent of Dan Brown's DaVinci Code. At times hilarious. At times poignant. At times absurd. The thought process here truly marches to the beat of a different didgeridoo as Tortorich teaches us what it means to... Think Outside the Thought.

  How can books change lives?
The pen is mighter than the e-book..
  Mighter than the mass market.

Never doubt that a small, group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
